Album Review: Amber Arcades - Fading Lines

StarStar

"...a mix of indie with a hint of electro as the beat builds and plateaus."

More Amber Arcades Amber Arcades Profile

Guitars ring in opener Come With Me as the drums take over with Amber Arcades' soft and soothing vocals hum "I know, I know".

Mellow synth rhythm comes through Perpetuum Mobile while Turning Light is a mix of indie with a hint of electro as the beat builds and plateaus. Fading Lines is a standout track with its happy indie vibe. On certain tracks like Come With Me the music dominates and Amber's beautiful, mellow vocals get almost lost within the music, and at times she sounds a little bored, like she is putting no effort into singing.
