Album Review: All Our Exes Live In Texas - When We Fall

StarStarStarHalf Star

"Comfortably exceptional."

More All Our Exes Live In Texas All Our Exes Live In Texas Profile

All Our Exes Live In Texas currently offer arguably the best live music experience in the country.

When We Fall is the alt-country quartet's long-awaited debut album. Does it match that standard? No. (Few things do.) But, it's still comfortably exceptional. The band have a knack for writing songs that feel like old classics without feeling nostalgic. The emotions are present and real. The album's shortcoming is that it isn't a very dynamically crafted long-player. It's just 12 good songs. But, that's a good complaint to have for a debut. Bring on the next one.
