"That struggle is real, and so, it appears, is she."

More Alex The Astronaut More Alex The Astronaut

There's a disarming — almost dorky — charm to Alex The Astronaut's musical postcards home as she educates herself about life while exiled in New York.

Her conversations look inward and out, whether admitting her nervous excitement about getting up to perform in that Rockstar City, or Already Home's puzzling about "...billionaires for president and parking fines at hospitals". But it all comes to her confession that I Believe In Music — yes, of course she should "play Paul Kelly again and again and again..." - even if her dad wants to listen to Coldplay. That struggle is real, and so, it appears, is she.
