"Clever rhythms and melodic experimentation are still key."

More Ainslie Wills More Ainslie Wills

Oh the wait... Ainslie Wills is finally back with her follow-up to 2013's triumphant debut album You Go Your Way, I'll Go Mine, opening with lead single Drive — another melodically robust arrangement that begins with a dexterously layered vocal emulating a tooting car passing on a freeway.

Wills and longtime collaborator Lawrence Folvig are more conscious of space and mood this time, though clever rhythms and melodic experimentation are still key. Stunner, Never Know What To Say, highlights Wills' brilliant ability to be feminine and soft, yet full of attitude.
