Worm Girlz Lead Stacked List Of Support Acts For WAAX Australian Tour

WAAX’s long-awaited national tour is fast approaching, and it’s heating up with the announcement of all-local, all-smashing support acts.

Leading the charge is Brisbane punk outfit Worm Girlz, opening every stop of the tour. Channelling fierce, femme-driven chaos, they’re the perfect act to open for Maz De Vita’s comeback tour across the East Coast.

Joining WAAX and Worm Girlz on the UR A RAT tour are a selection of handpicked local favourites, including Mannequin Death Squad and Seeing Violet at The Brightside, Brisbane on 29 August, Machine On A Break at UC Hub, Canberra, on 5 September, GRXCE at UTS Underground on 6 September, and Cheap-Skate and Sick Visor, who will open the shows at Melbourne’s Howler and Frankston’s Pelly Bar on 11 and 12 September.

Discussing the choices behind the support acts, Maz De Vita said, “This tour is about reclaiming WAAX in the most raw, honest way possible – and to have these incredible bands join us makes it even more exciting. As previously announced, the WAAX and Jerry Can & A Van tour will feature a Sydney-only flash tattoo pop-up experience hosted by celebrated tattoo artist Lauren Winzer.
