Wolf AliceWolf Alice will return to Australia this December, today announcing headline dates across the country.
Currently in Auckland for the first date on this year’s Laneway Festival and subsequently performing in major Australian cities at this year’s event, fans upset about a one-hour festival set (and those who discover them at Laneway) get another chance to see the British band.
While Wolf Alice are presently visiting Australia and New Zealand for Laneway Festival, the tour marks their first headline shows Down Under in four years.
The tour begins at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday, 2 December. From there, Wolf Alice will perform at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt – as part of Live Nation’s On The Steps program – on Friday, 4 December, Melbourne’s Botanic Gardens – part of MG Live’s Live At The Gardens series – on Saturday, 5 December, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday, 6 December, and concludes at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on Tuesday, 8 December.
Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets from Monday, 9 February, at 11 am local time, followed by the general sale on Wednesday, 11 February, at 11 am local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Frontier Touring, Live Nation, and Live At The Gardens websites.
Led by the hypnotic vocals of Ellie Rowsell, the shape-shifting band has played indie rock, grunge, and propulsive pop, and, with their newest work, wistful, acoustic, piano-based folk music.

Wolf Alice are touring in support of their latest album, the Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-nominated The Clearing. Their first album released on Columbia Records finds the band slowing down and incorporating additional piano and acoustic guitar melodies while honing their songwriting. Their aim? Making a timeless album.
The Clearing is simultaneously profound, wry, and playful, presenting sounds pulled from the ‘70s while firmly rooted in the present. The album captures a vibe of “If Fleetwood Mac wrote an album today in North London, you’d get somewhere close to these 11 effortlessly grand tracks.”
