Watch Vance Joy Play 'Wasted Time' Live From Sing Sing

Melburnian indie-folk/alt-rock luminary Vance Joy has been exceedingly generous with follow-up goodies since the release of his world-beating single Riptide last year, with consequent singles Mess Is Mine and First Time doing much lately to demonstrate just how versatile a performer the singer-songwriter can be.

Now, with two weeks to the day remaining until the release of his eagerly awaited debut full-length album, Dream Your Life Away, Joy is keeping up with the tradition of being crazy-good to his fans with the release of a live-performance video of yet another cut from the LP, the engaging Wasted Time.

Recorded live at the renowned Sing Sing Studios, the clip goes a long way towards showcasing Joy's strength as a performer as well as composer, with his honeyed vocals losing none of their evocative power in the translation to this in-studio rendition of the cut.

Meanwhile, the tsunami that seems to follow Riptide wherever it is released ha borne down on yet another country's charts — this time in the US, where the hottest song of 2013 now comfortably rests atop both the Billboard Rock Airplay and Alternative Songs charts.
