Watch Post Malone Pay Tribute To 'Beautiful Man' Oliver Tree

The music world has been rocked by the shocking and devastating passing of Oliver Tree, which was reported earlier this week.

Tree, an American musician and internet personality, passed away on Sunday (14 June) in a helicopter crash. He was 32. Performing in Toronto on Tuesday (16 June), Post Malone paid tribute to Tree, dedicating his performance to the artist he described as a “beautiful man.”

“[This concert is], for me, a celebration of the life of a beautiful, beautiful man,” Post told the audience during his concert on Tuesday, per Now Toronto. “A gentleman I knew [who] was so beautiful and inspired the world with his art and just his heart and his soul.”

He continued by addressing Tree directly, “I just want you to know, dude, that we love you so very much. We love you, brother; we love you. We’re going to have a great night and celebrate this gentleman.”

On Monday, The Music reported that Tree was one of six individuals who passed away following a mid-air collision involving two helicopters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday, 14 June.

Tree was in South America for his The World’s First World Tour, which launched late last month, with the American singer and internet personality performing the fourth date of the tour in São Paulo on Saturday, 6 June. He was expected to resume the tour in Portugal on Wednesday, 1 July.

Oliver Tree was set to bring his The World’s First World Tour to Australia and New Zealand in October. On Tuesday, tour promoters Untitled Group shared a tribute to the artist.

Tree’s 2026 world tour was scheduled to make 70 stops (including a reported show in Antarctica), with a headline tour of Australia – featuring stops in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth – scheduled for October. He was also set to play a show in Auckland, New Zealand.

Post Malone returns to Australia in October, where he’ll headline Strummingbird Festival and perform several stadium headline shows.
