Are the two bands new best friends?

In a classic case of you scratch our back, we'll scratch yours, American indie guys Walk The Moon have revealed the notion behind their current tour with local lads The Rubens.

"They obviously can put us in front of thousands of people in Australia," said guitarist/vocalist Eli Mainman in an exclusive chat with theMusic.com.au today.

"We came together with The Rubens in one of those kinda managerial deals, where we took them to Europe and they opened for us on the tour around Europe and we'd come over and open for them over here. So it really worked out well for both of us."

Bassist/vocalist Kevin Ray also added another key factor into why touring with the Menagle boys has worked. "It just so happens that they're cool." Don't think many would disagree with you Kevin...

The band also name-dropped a few of their fave Aussie artists including EDM powerhouse Empire Of The Sun and the man who really needs no introduction, Gotye.
