Venus II Unveil Debut Album Details & Launch Dates

Nascent Aussie duo Venus II — the new collaboration between Eagle & The Worm/Dorsal Fins mainstay Jarrad Brown and Sydney producer Ryan Grieve, of Canyons — have announced the release details for their forthcoming debut album, Inside Your Sun, alongside a handful of launch shows and tour dates.

Hot on the heels of their successful single of the same name, Inside Your Sun will land on Friday 19 August, with a complementary (not complimentary, people) launch at Melbourne's Gasometer that evening. A secondary launch show will be held at Freda's, in Sydney, on Saturday 3 September, while the band will also be on the road supporting GL for a show each in Melbourne (Howler, 10 September) and Sydney (Newtown Social, 17 September).

The buzz surrounding the two-piece is starting to spread, too, with BBC Radio 6 host Chris Hawkins tweeting his effusive support for the album's title track recently alongside its growing airplay on the station.

With an increasing presence on the live circuit and Inside Your Sun now boasting a tangible release date (plus some pretty funky artwork, below), sleep on this one at your own peril.
