Veteran metal icons Tool have extended their upcoming Australian trek this year, announcing a pair of headline dates for their forthcoming visit to the country.

Touching down in Australia ahead of their role as headliners at the 2025 edition of the Good Things festival this December, the award-winning quartet will also perform standalone headline shows in Perth and Adelaide.

The newly-announced shows see the group launching proceedings at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Friday, November 28th, before hitting up Perth’s RAC Arena on December 2nd. For South Australians, it’ll be Tool’s first time in their state since the band’s 2013 headline tour, while Perth served as the launch of the band’s last headline tour of the country, back in 2020.

Joining Tool on these new dates will be Byron Bay rockers HEADSEND, who recently wrapped up a national tour supporting UK outfit Wunderhorse.

Tool will also be performing at the Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane legs of the Good Things festival on December 5th, 6th, and 7th, resepctively, where they will appear alongside a line-up that also features Weezer, Garbage, Refused, All Time Low, Machine Head, and more.

The Los Angeles group first rose to prominence in the early ‘90s with debut album Undertow, before 1996’s Ænima bought them widespread success. The Grammy Award-winning outfit kicked off the new milennium with the release of 2001’s Lateralus and followed it up with 2006’s 10,000 Days, though one of the longest waits for a new record preceded the eventual arrival of their eagerly-anticipated fifth album, Fear Inoculum, in 2019.
