Following a brief hiatus to wait out a global pandemic, one of Australia's most beloved and unique music events Georgia Mooney's SUPERGROUP is officially returning in 2022, with a huge line-up of special guests and live shows taking place outside of Sydney for the very first time.

Joining Georgia Mooney on stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this July and August includes acclaimed comedian and musician Tim Minchin, Aus icon Josh Pyke, Ball Park Music member Sam Cromack, soul legend Ngaiire, Middle Kids vocalist Hannah Joy and ARIA-nominated artist Mo'Ju.

The lineup continues, with a stellar cast of artists also on the bill, including Maple Glider, Bob Evans, Martha Marlow, Ruby Gill, Hope D, Jeremy Neale, Elizabeth, KYE, Ryan Downey, Seja and Butterfingers' very own Evil Eddie.

Mooney stated, “I’m absolutely thrilled to bring SUPERGROUP back to the stage and to take it on the road!

"This line-up features some of my favourite songwriters in the world. It’s such a joy combining artists who don’t normally share the stage.

"I’ve never had more fun on stage than I do with SUPERGROUP. There is something quite magical about it. It is communal and whimsical and musical in the purest sense.

"I have a feeling this tour will take that to a new level. It’s going to feel incredibly poignant to connect again in this way, after the two years we've all had."

Each night on the tour, Australia's favourite songwriters will join to form a band for one night only. Joined by the SUPERGROUP house band, the guests take turns performing songs while the others join in beside them, without any rehearsals or any knowledge of what is about to happen.

Originally debuting at Sydney’s Giant Dwarf Theatre in April 2019 as part of an Artist in Residence program, Georgia Mooney’s SUPERGROUP quickly began to pick up steam, drawing fans from across Sydney for eight glorious, jam-packed concerts.
