The UK’s largest heavy music gathering, Download Festival, announced the line-up for its 2026 event this week.

Starring headliners Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses, and Linkin Park—the latter making history with the first woman in a band to headline Download in its 23-year history—the multi-day event will return to its stomping grounds of Donington Park from Wednesday, 10 June, to Sunday, 14 June 2026.

Other big-name international artists include Bad Omens, Cypress Hill, Trivium, Architects, Tom Morello, BABYMETAL, Electric Callboy, Bush, Halestorm, Periphery, The Pretty Reckless, letlive., Story Of The Year, Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar, and many others.

A handful of Australian bands will also be making the trek to Donington next June.

Melbourne metalcore stars Thornhill are confirmed to perform at the festival, as are Perth electronic rockers Pendulum, Brisbane nu-metal quintet HEADWRECK, Melbourne alternative rock outfit Wayside, and Sydney pop-metalcore band Melrose Avenue.

Last month, it was announced that Australian heavy acts including Thornhill, Polaris, Windwaker, Thy Art Is Murder, The Amity Affliction, Make Them Suffer, and Alpha Wolf would perform at the 2026 edition of Sonic Temple Festival in the US.

These recent festival announcements—and the Australian takeover—follow this year’s announcements for Austin City Limits, Coachella and Bonnaroo, among other international events.

Empire Of The Sun, Ocean Alley, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, Spacey Jane, and Confidence Man performed at Austin City Limits in October.

In June, Aussie DJ Dom Dolla headlined Bonnaroo in Tennessee. He was joined by fellow locals Dope Lemon, Ziggy Alberts, Royel Otis, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, the latter of whom performed across the festival’s three days.

Back in April, SPEED, Amyl And The Sniffers, Glass Beams, HAAi, and Parcels represented Australia at Coachella. Next year, Aussies including The Chats, Ninajirachi, Royel Otis, and Ecca Vandal will head to the desert and leave their mark.
