Thigh Master & Shrapnel Announce Joint Single Launch

The ascendant Brisbane outfits have fresh treats to share

It'll be a Brisbane community event for the ages at Stones Corner Hotel in a couple of weeks' time, when nascent indie label Coolin' By Sound launches its next two singles from excellent outfits Thigh Master and Shrapnel.

Thigh Master will be touting new taster Canned Opening, which follows its well-received predecessorCompany, out into the world as the next slice of devilishly moreish lo-fi indie-rock goodness to be taken from their impending debut full-length, Early Times, while Shrapnel — who feature faces from stalwart outfits such as Day Ravies, Mope City, Miners, Dollar Bar, Weak Boys, Julia Why? and more — will be championing their fresh cut Another Year, the first single to be taken from their forthcoming debut album, Tranceplanetsugarmouth. Both Thigh Master's and Shrapnel's albums are set for release in October, via Coolin' By Sound.

The bands will be supported by seminal local indie-rockers Tape/Off — boasting a wealth of new material as they ramp up to a new release of their own, in the form of their keenly awaited sophomore full-length — and pub-punk legends-in-the-making sydney2000.

The launch goes down on Friday 26 August, and will be only $10 at the door. See the Facebook event page for further information.
