"I was given the chance to record a song I grew up with."
Thelma Plum has returned to the studio to record a striking cover Powderfinger's classic track These Days.
The track, which was released by the Brisbane group on their album Odyssey Number 5 in 1999, was recorded by Plum for a Commonwealth Bank advertisement and is now available on all streaming services.
“I was given the chance to record a song I grew up with, and as a Brissie local, I already know a couple of the Powderfinger guys so of course, I said yes," shared Plum.
"I even recorded parts of it in Ian’s (Haug, Powderfinger guitarist) studio, which made it feel even more natural."
Check out the track below.
Plum has also announced rescheduled dates for her The Homecoming Queen tour.
