More The Weeknd More The Weeknd

Over the weekend, Canadian hitmaker The Weeknd (aka Abel Tesfaye) performed the first two shows on his After Hours Til Dawn tour of Australia.

Performing at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, the singer played the hits you’d expect – Starboy, Blinding Lights, Save Your Tears, Take My Breath, I Feel It Coming, Can’t Feel My Face – and then some, also premiering new songs for his devoted Melbourne audience. If you don’t like setlist spoilers, look away now, as we have a HUGE setlist to dig into.

For The Weeknd’s first night at Marvel Stadium (Saturday, 5 October), fans were treated to tour debuts of songs from the singer’s forthcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Tour debuts included The Crowd, Wake Me Up, Too Late (used as an interlude into Take My Breath), São Paulo, Timeless, Repeat After Me (Interlude), Regular, Take Me Back To LA, and Dancing In The Flames. The following night, The Weeknd shared the tour debut of Run Away, also from Hurry Up Tomorrow.

Aside from the hits and new songs, The Weeknd also performed three covers throughout the 32-song setlist, and they were Creepin’ (Metro Boomin cover), In Heaven (Lady In The Radiator Song) by Peter Ivers and David Lynch, and Moth To A Flame (Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd cover).
