Spice Girls icon and successful solo artist Melanie C will grace our screens before we know it, if Seven’s recent teaser for the new season of The Voice is anything to go by.
The new trailer spotlights Melanie C, aka Sporty Spice, outlining her many achievements and award wins throughout her career, while also showcasing aspiring singers’ and her fellow coaches’ enthusiasm for having a Spice Girl on the panel. Fellow new coach Ronan Keating said it best when he quipped, “There’s only five of them in the world, and we’ve got one.”
While no premiere date has been announced for the fourteenth season of the popular talent show, with a new teaser, we’re sure that the premiere date can’t be far behind. Last year’s season premiered in mid-August.
You can check out the trailer below.
This year’s season of The Voice Australia will arrive with some big changes: longtime coach Guy Sebastian departed his role at the end of last season to focus on his music career, and Kate Miller-Heidke—who made her The Voice debut last year—is the only remaining coach on this year’s season. She’ll be joined by a group of international hitmakers in Melanie C, Ronan Keating, and Richard Marx.
Production for this year’s season began in January, with longstanding host Sonia Kruger returning for another season.

Expressing excitement at returning to Australia and escaping some of the British winter, Melanie C said of her new role earlier this year, “I am so incredibly excited to be joining The Voice Australia in 2025!
“I have always cherished my trips down under over the years, so to be there with such a super line-up of coaches in one of my favourite countries is a real honour. Also very happy to be missing some of the British winter! Very much looking forward to unearthing some brilliant talent to join Team Melanie.”
In February, Melanie C joined forces with Australian electronic music mainstay Anna Lunoe for the anthemic, club-ready song, Girl.
“People say never to meet your idols, but getting to meet Mel backstage at Coachella in 2024 and subsequently becoming friends was one of my favourite moments of last year,” Lunoe said.
“It’s been so amazing to get to know the wonderful person behind the icon, and this song found its home with Mel's incredible vocal tone and heart! Is this actually happening? Ahh!”
Melanie C shared the sentiment, stating that she and Lunoe had become “great friends” since their first meeting. “We have so much in common, our love of music, being mums and dancing our asses off. I’m super excited to be collaborating on ‘Girl’, it’s a banger!”
Last May, Melanie C headlined Brisbane's renowned LGBTQIA+ street festival, Big Gay Day, alongside Sneaky Sound System and Tall Paul.
