Anna Lunoe & Melanie C Get Sweaty On Collaboration Club Banger ‘Girl’

Australian electronic music mainstay Anna Lunoe has teamed up with none other than the inimitable pop pioneer and former Spice Girl Melanie C on the anthemic, club-ready song Girl. 

The track was previewed live for the first time at London superclub Drumsheds last year, which would send any fan of a good house banger into a frenzy. Girl rings true to Lunoe’s infectiously bouncy and genre-fusing sound, while Melanie C’s hypnotic and iconic vocals add the juiciest cherry on top. Coming from two geographically separate dance and pop worlds, both artists mesh like bread and butter on Girl, detailing anthemic pop at its rawest. 

“People say never to meet your idols but getting to meet Mel backstage at Coachella in 2024 and subsequently become friends was one of my favourite moments of last year,” Lunoe shared in a press release.

“It's been so amazing to get to know the wonderful person behind the icon and this song found its home with Mel's incredible vocal tone and heart! Is this actually happening? Ahh!”

The same sentiments are shared by Melanie C, who said that her and Lunoe have become “great friends” since their first meeting.

“We have so much in common, our love of music, being mums and dancing our asses off. I’m super excited to be collaborating on ‘Girl’, it’s a banger!”

Listening to Girl entails a visceral surrender to the dancefloor, arms outstretched to the sky, hips thrusting to the beat, with nothing but a feeling of pure euphoria.
