The Script Announce Special Guests For 2027 Australian Tour

The Script will be joined by fellow Irish band Picture This when they return to Australia next year.

Irish pop-rock heroes The Script are returning to Australia in March 2027, and today, they’ve announced the special guests joining them on tour.

The Breakeven hitmakers will be accompanied by fellow Irish group Picture This. Comprising vocalist Ryan Hennessy, guitarist Owen Cardiff, bassist Cliff Deanne, and drummer Jimmy Rainsford, the band have a reputation for their compelling songwriting and electric performances.

Like The Script, they blend heartfelt lyrics with strong melodies. Emerging out of Ireland with their 2017 self-titled album, Picture This immediately became a triple-Platinum, #1 band in Ireland. Since then, they’ve dropped the albums MDRN LV in 2019, Life In Colour in 2021, and Parked Car Conversations in 2024, with new music dropping this year.

Along with announcing the special guests joining them on their Man In The Arena tour, The Script have released the new single, The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall, inspired by – you guessed it – the recent reunion of Oasis.

The track marks the second single from their forthcoming album, The User’s Guide to Being Human, out next month via BMG Australia.

“I’m a huge Oasis fan. Always have been. But I don’t think Liam and Noel [Gallagher] knew the full impact of what they were doing when they got back together,” vocalist Danny O’Donoghue explains.

He continued, “Because a lot of their fanbase, they’re lads, middle-aged guys, and a lot of them have a similar scenario where they’re not talking to a brother or a friend, and they’re trying to be a man’s man about it.

“The Gallaghers reuniting put into the zeitgeist the idea that forgiveness is cool again. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I saw them walking out with their hands together. If two of the most notorious people for being at loggerheads can overcome their differences, anything’s possible!”

The Script, returning to Australia for their twelfth headline tour in the country, and Picture This will take over arena venues across the East Coast in March 2027. You can secure tickets via the Frontier Touring website.
