Brisbane's The Iron Eye recently released the music video for their most recent single, 'Just Started'. But instead of just having a generic video of the trio playing in a room with some flashy lights, they've gone that extra step further as it plays out in reverse and it's fucking whack!

Whack, I say!

Drummer Antonio Mancini said that it was a challenge "learning the song backwards, thinking of cool stuff backwards and basically viewing everything from finish to start." Director David Webster also said this about filing the rather unconventional film clip:

"The basic idea for the “Just Started” video literally happened in 5 seconds. I was watching the video for Violent Soho’s “Viceroy” and in those first few moments I thought that it was going to be in reverse and that all the mess would disappear. I soon realised that that wasn’t the case, but I kept a hold of the idea anyway."

Filmed and edited by Adrian Goleby, this video may be a gimmick, it is also a very cool gimmick and it makes the song so much more impactful and memorable. As I understand it, this means that band is all moving forward as they play and apparently, even sing in reverse. However, the other individuals seen in the clip are all moving backwards and thus, we get this really...weird and off-putting effect. Plus, the visuals of the clip look so slick, especially in reverse.

Look, it's a whole lot easier to watch it below then to think about its technicalities and my terrible explanation of it.
