You know what we love here at The Music? Daniel Levy.

You know what else we love here at The Music? Cake.

There's probably a pretty high chance that you, like us, are a fan of at least one of those things so you can probably imagine how excited we were to learn that the Schitt's Creek creator and star was the host of the first two seasons of The Great Canadian Baking Show.

Over the years, we've made no secret of our love of both our The Great Australian Bake Off (we even put hosts Mel Buttle and Claire Hooper on our mag cover a few years back) and Schitt's Creek so this is a crossover that we feel much joy about.

"The Great Canadian Bake Off brings together 10 beginner bakers from across Canada," reads the show description.

"Each contestant is put through themed culinary challenges to find the very best over-all competitor in a series of three rounds: the technical bake, the signature bake and the showstopper."

While there's still a couple of weeks until the show airs, you can check out this interview with Levy and co-host Julia Chan discussing their limited knowledge, but big love, of baking.

The Great Canadian Bake Off (also known as The Great Canadian Baking Show) airs on Foxtel's Lifestyle Channel from 8.30pm on 21 July.
