The up-and-comers are hitting the road while they polish up songs for their next album
Brisbane indie trio The Goon Sax already have a couple of key shows to look forward to as supports for Scottish alt-rock vets Teenage Fanclub over the next few months, and now they've gone and locked in a bunch of headline appearances in NSW and Qld to boot.
Along with their existing spots in Brisbane (at the Triffid) and Sydney (at Taronga Zoo) with the revered internationals this March, The Goon Sax will now kick off a run of headline shows at The Time Machine, in Nambour, this weekend, along with Kitchen's Floor, Bent, Sydney2000 and Pious Faults.
Don't get too excited, though, because a month-long interlude immediately follows before they're back on stage in Brisbane, at the Woolly Mammoth, with 100% and Shep Dooley the week before their Teenage Fanclub shows.
After those commitments, the young three-piece will head to Canberra's Lowbrow Gallery (supports TBA) and the North Wollongong Hotel, where they conclude the current schedule with help from Solid Effort, Beast & Flood and The Nah.

With the band hard at work on album number two, the upcoming shows promise to be an equal opportunity to hear some road-tests for new material as well as a solid serve of established favourites from the band's acclaimed 2016 debut LP, Up To Anything.
