Spain is shaping up as the place to be for music lovers next year, with a roster of icons and rising stars making up the 2026 edition of the Primavera Sound Festival.

Held in Barcelona from June 3rd – 7th, 2026, the festival’s 24th edition is populated by a collection of legends, with the likes of The Cure, The xx, Doja Cat, and Gorillaz making up the top line.

Massive Attack, My Bloody Valentine, Addison Rae, PinkPantheress, Skrillex, and Peggy Gou also round out the headliners, showing a strong lean towards pop and electronic music alongside the traditional rock featured on the bill.

Gorillaz’ inclusion marks the second time the group have headlined the fest, and the fourth time Damon Albarn has topped a line up, having appeared twice with Blur previously. The xx’s appearance is part of their return to touring, marking their first run of dates since 2018, with My Bloody Valentine also ramping up public appearances for the first time in seven years.

Elsewhere, the line-up is a veritable reading test filled with big names from around the globe, including Mac DeMarco, Big Thief, Kneecap, MARINA, Slowdive, Knocked Loose, Little Simz, Texas Is The Reason, Einstürzende Neubaten, Yard Act, and more.

This year also features one of Australia’s biggest names on the bill, with Ninajirachi appearing on the line-up, just one day after scoring a massive eight nominations for the 2025 ARIA Awards, including Best Solo Artist and Best Album for her impressive debut, I Love My Computer.

The line-up also boasts an honorary Aussie by way of Manchester-born Carl Cox, who is based in the outer Victorian suburb of Frankston.

On the whole, Aussie representation is undeniably down on previous years, which have seen the likes of Troye Sivan, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and Tame Impala as headliners in 2025, 2022, and 2019, respectively.

The Primavera Sound Festival first launched in in 2001 as a way to showcase Spanish acts before quickly becoming one of the biggest, and most anticipated festivals in not just Europe, but the world.
