While in Australia, it’s mandatory to engage with local entertainment, right?
That’s exactly what Teddy Swims did, when backstage at the Today Show yesterday (3 October), he met The Wiggles. Seen shaking hands and hugging the band members, the Lose Control singer ended up duetting with The Wiggles for their classic song, Fruit Salad, right there in the hallway.
“The Wiggles and Teddy Swims is the duet we didn't know we needed!” is how the Today Show captioned its social media post capturing the moment.
You can watch the surprise duet below.
Swims appeared on the Today Show ahead of his highly anticipated headline performances at the NRL and NRLW Grand Finals, providing the pre-game entertainment at Accor Stadium this Sunday (3 October).
For his set, Swims is set to be joined by unannounced special guests. Australian country singer Sara Berki is scheduled to perform during the NRLW pre-game celebrations, and DJ Havana Brown will keep the tunes going at halftime for the NRL Grand Final.

Upon being announced as the NRL Grand Final headline performer last month, Swims said, “I am so excited to be performing at the 2025 NRL Grand Final!
“Australia has always been a second home to me. Every time I am there, I am overwhelmed by how welcoming the people are, I fall more in love with the culture, and just everything about it. So, to be welcomed to perform one of the biggest nights in Australia is a huge honour.”
In addition to his performances at the Grand Final events, Swims is touring across the country for an already-announced, rapidly selling run of shows.
The American musician’s I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Australian Tour was first announced back in March, marking his first visit to the country since 2023, and serving as his biggest shows on local shores to date.
Due to phenomenal demand, extra dates have been added in multiple cities. Shows in Christchurch, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth are sold out, with remaining tickets available for additional shows on the Frontier Touring website.
For his upcoming tour, Teddy Swims will be accompanied by special guest Matt Corby.
Alongside his performances, Swims is scheduled to appear as a keynote speaker at SXSW Sydney this month.
