One reviewer asked "is this a disgusting joke about halloween?"

Look what you made them do, Taylor!

More Taylor Swift More Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift fans have been on tenter hooks ever since the announcement of the versions of old albums - following the very public departure from former manager Scooter Braun.

Now, with the arrival of Red (Taylor's Version), Swifties can hear the tunes from her iconic 2012 release as the singer intended - at least that's what they thought.

Fast forward to this week and fans have been taking to the online review section of stores like Target to complain about the quality of the vinyl they received. One thing they have in common: all the records sound like they're warped, and that a male voice is performing weird, slowed down versions of the songs.

You can probably see where this is heading.

Turns out the customers didn't realise that the new LPs were pressed at 45rpm as opposed to 33 - the bog standard for most full length albums. Reactions ranged from thinking this was some sort of prank, to one customer buying three seperate copies thinking they were all defective. It got so bad, pop culture site Vulture had to publish an article explaining how to correctly play the records (which if you didn't know is just by literally flipping a switch on the record player).

Red faces all round for Red (Taylor's Version). Ahh well, Shake It Off I guess... Take a look at reviews here:
