Joanna Cave comes from Viscopy and DACS

Music industry charity Support Act has announced Joanna Cave as its new Chief Executive, bringing with her experience from rights management organisation Viscopy.

Support Act aims to provide relief and support to members of the music industry undergoing hardship of illness and Cave has spent 15 years at the helm of other non-profit organisations, including nine years at Viscopy's UK equivalent DACS.

Support Act's founder and Chair Meryl Gross hopes that Cave's appointment will bring change and development to the organisation.

She said today, “Jo brings great knowledge and experience to this new position and the Board welcomes the opportunity to work with her in maintaining established programs and developing exciting new initiatives.”
