Splendour In The Grass has sold out of camping, three day and single day tickets in under an hour, festival promoters have advised.

Taking place at the North Byron Parklands in Byron Bay for the first time, the festival has a capacity of 25,000 this year and put tickets on sale at 9am this morning.

The only tickets now remaining through Moshtix are the Country Club VIP tickets, which cost $699 plus booking fee. (You can win a camping double pass here though!)

Promoters Paul Piticco and Jessica Ducrou said, “What a perfect start for Splendour at our new home, North Byron Parklands! Our housewarming party is going to be awesome. Please don't bring a pot plant!”

Moshtix have also issued a statement, addressing for the wait times punters experienced this morning.

“Splendour in the Grass 2013 has received a MASSIVE level of interest this year! Unfortunately not everyone was able to get tickets. As a result of tickets being so popular some of you may have experienced long waits or issues in the Green Room. This was due to the huge demand for tickets and the rate that tickets were selling.”

Considered Australia's most prestigious camping festival, it will take place Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 July this year. It will be a watershed year for the event after the promoters fought hard for the right to use the grounds. A small amount of development has already started in the site, primarily with the construction of a tunnel which will connect the camping grounds from the festival area.

This year the festival is features Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, The National, Of Monsters & Men, The Presets, Flume, Empire Of The Sun and 70-odd more.
