Splendour Day Three: Time To Discover

Splendour In The Grass is over for another year and our team on the ground are absolutely shattered as they return to real life today; ideas about a caffeine drip have been floated with a little more sincerity than we're used to and the complaints about how sore their poor little feet are have gone beyond tolerable.

The general consensus from the team on the ground was that day three was the most lacking of the days as far as music went, with very few names to really stir up our team. It was more of a case of attempted discovery, with Mitch Knox giving fun. a shot at the title and Dan Condon seeing how he could handle the French pop-electro of Yuksek. 

Everyone was keen for Azealia Banks and she managed to deliver, but not without controversy. Her set was delivered with more precision than we were expecting, but after 25 minutes it was all over, though not without a riotous rendition of 212 which saw the crowd shedding their clothes at a rate of knots.

The Smashing Pumpkins succeeded in their role of the Splendour nostalgia band to close things off this year; Billy Corgan and his bunch of randoms smashing out a set littered with the band's classic hits as well as a couple of new tunes.
