"It’s heart-warming to see the Australian spirit alive in companies like Sunset Events, leading the way and inspiring the community spirit."
Just days after Southbound announced that over $150,000 was raised for the Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund, festival organisers have released information about Southbound refunds and as promised, a dedicated donations page has been set up for ticket-holders.
The Southbound Fire Fundraiser Donations Page will be live from Monday and will allow Southbound 2016 ticket-holders to make a donation, donate their ticket refund or any other nominated amount. Those wanting to make a one-off donation can head to the Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund — Waroona and Districts Fire Relief Appeal 2016 here.
For those seeking refunds, they'll start being processed from Monday, 18 January as well. If you purchased through Moshtix online or on the phone, your refund will automatically go back to the credit card/PayPal you used to purchase the tickets within 3-5 business days. If you purchased from Moshtix in store, return there and they can arrange your refund. If your refund fails for whatever reason due to an expired card or otherwise, Moshtix will contact you direct.
Harley Evans, CEO of The Ticket Group (parent company of Moshtix), said, "We’re working as quickly as possible to process Southbound ticket refunds as we understand they can be put towards very worthy causes over in WA. We’re honoured to work with Sunset Events to be able to collect donations for the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund to assist those in distress during this devastating time.
