Slaves now have what is easily one of the shortest break-up periods of any band to date, as they have recently announced they are back together. Sort of.
After the band previously (and suddenly) announced that their two final shows - held in early April - would be their last, and after singer Jonny Craig publicly announced he was searching for personal help for his vices not long after, the group ended. But, as fate would have it, they have now decided instead to return. However, Slaves is now only comprised of Craig and bassist Colin Vieira (both pictured above), and what we expect to be hired guns to fill out the line-up. Or, perhaps less likely, a backing track for most of the band (now, that'd be a weird sight).
So, how long has it been since they called it quits and reunited? Well, it's been about six weeks or so since they "broke up"? Blimey...
Anyway, this is what the band said the other day about their reformation:

”No we didn’t break up. Things are a little different, and its just Jonny Craig and Colin Vieira now, but we are about to go on tour in Europe and are in the process of writing. Expect an interview from us to further clear things up in the very near future! thanks for riding with us through this crazy journey called life!”
We'll keep you posted about that supposed clarifying interview once it surfaces. Should make for an interesting listen.
We're also curious to see if the band changes their sound or if it stays the same, and slo if Craig does indeed stick to his word to focus on getting help for his problems. If he doesn't, then we may be in this very same situation in another year or so...
