16 January 2015 | 3:42 pm | Staff Writer

The wild-haired shredder double-header will play two headline shows in February

The Soundwave Festival Sidewave train continues to chug full steam ahead, with the fresh announcement that iconic six-string-slinger Slash and hair-metal revivalists Steel Panther will be taking time out from the festival tour to perform a pair of sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney this February.

The renowned acts will hit the Hordern Pavilion, in Sydney, on Tuesday, 24 February, before heading south to take on Melbourne's Festival Hall on Thursday, 26 February. Slash will be joined by vocalist Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge) with backing band The Conspirators ably bringing the bones to complement the top-hat-toting guitarist's meaty hooks.

When tickets go on sale at 9am (AEDT) this Wednesday, 21 January, Sydney fans will be able to grab their passes to the licensed all-ages gig via Ticketek, while Melburnians can hit up Ticketmaster for their licensed or unlicensed tickets.
