"Apparently I'm scum and deserve to be abandoned and treated like shit..."

Irish singer/songwriter Sinead O'Connor is receiving medical attention according to the Irish Mirror, after posting a long and worrying Facebook status stating she had "taken an overdose" and that she was in an Irish hotel under a different name.

She speaks of her difficult week and recent surgery — "apparently I'm scum and deserve to be abandoned and treated like shit just when I've had my womb and ovaries chopped out and my child is frighteningly sick."

She writes of her dispute with singer Donal Lunny, who is the father of her third child, Shane. Spin reports that Shane requires psychological treatment but Lunny is not allowing her to see him. "The withholding of my babies from me without any sound reason by their fathers, Frank and Donal, and by Jake and the rest of my family, is a horrific set of betrayals," she writes.

As Irish Mirror reports, many fans and well-wishers contacted the police after seeing O'Connor's post, and she has been reportedly found safe and sound.
