Man Like Me to release album in March

London duo Man Like Me – featuring Johnny Langer and Peter Duffy – will release their new album Pillow Talk through Shock in Australia.

Shock have announced the signing today, with the album released through Mike Skinner's The Beats labels. Skinner, whois known for his pioneering work with The Streets, co-produced and mixed the record – a mixture of pop and techno influences.

Langer is the son of Clive Langer, the well-known veteran British producer and co-writer who has worked with Morrissey, Madness and Elvis Costello amongst others. He has worked with the band in the studio and has played guitar with them live.

The band have grown to notoriety through their single Squeeze and a reworking of a 1980s Jona Lewie track, You'll Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties, which featured on an IKEA TV ad. The album will be released locally Friday 29 March, and Shock's praising of their live show in the announcement suggests they are looking at touring possibilities later this year.
