Aussie indie-pop band Sheppard have returned with their first single since 2021, Good Time - a sun-filled 'good time' pop-bop that will have you dancing in your kitchen and itching to book a summer holiday.

Alongside the single, they've released a music video that perfectly encapsulates the vibes of the song.

Originally announcing the new addition to their catalogue in February, the family outfit stated, "Hi, we're Sheppard; we have some very, very exciting news for you today.".

"We have a brand new single coming out, and it's called Good Time, and it's out on March 17th," Amy Sheppard added. George then said, "And, we're releasing a music video on the same day!"

Sheppard released their third studio album, Kaleidoscope Eyes, in February 2021. Since then, they have also released the singles The Reasons Why (November 2021, following Amy and Lachlan Stuart's wedding) and a Christmas single, Christmas Without You, also in November 2021.

Amy Sheppard stepped out on her own in May last year, embarking on a solo career with her debut solo single, Nothing But Wild.

The track received a huge launch at Tamworth Country Music Festival last April, which Amy chronicled via a video diary.

Speaking with The Music after the massive event, she said, "Releasing my first solo single has been one of the most exciting and daunting things I've ever done, but one I am so proud of.

"Nothing But Wild is just the start of this adventure, and I wanted to capture every moment of release week, and there was no better place to launch than in the heart of Australian country music!" Check out the premiere here.

Inspired by her country music upbringing, listening to the likes of The Chicks, Shania Twain, Faith Hill and LeAnn Rimes, Amy Sheppard spent the past three years writing and building towards her solo release, which features the title track, which peaked at #3 on the Countrytown Hot 50 Country Airplay Chart.

A special announcement from Amy, Emma and George!
