This November will see the Victorian town of Djaara/Castlemaine turned into a veritable hotspot for music lovers, with the Town Folk Festival returning for another stellar outing.
First launched in 2022, the Town Folk Festival has become an important part of Castlemaine’s thriving music scene, with local and international acts joining the festivities as it turns the town into a vibrant celebration of genre-shifting music.
This year is, of course, no exception, with the festival announcing the details of its 2025 edition today.
Taking place on Saturday, November 15th, the Town Folk Festival will take place across three beloved local venues — The Bridge Hotel, Boomtown Winery, and Shedshaker Brewery – while the grassy Sunken Oval will host the Main Stage, serving as a hub which allows audiences to roam between sites as they discover new artists and experience Castlemaine’s arts and hospitality scene.
On the music front, the line up for this year’s event is headed up by a sensational showing of local and international acts, including American indie royalty Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory, Zambian psychedelic rockers WITCH, and Aussie legends King Stingray, Pigram Brothers, Meg Washington, Dan Kelly's Regional Crisis, and more.
There’s also the likes of Jenny Don't & The Spurs, JAZZPARTY, Merpire, Charm Of Finches, and the sensational double-act that is Didirri & Rowena Wise.
