Live Music Series 'The Set' Adds More Big Name Aus Acts To Upcoming Season

Kicking off this weekend!

After revealing a stacked line-up for its upcoming season earlier this month, ABC's The Set has added even more talent to the bill.

Scheduled to kick off this Saturday, the live music series’ third season will boast new additions Ruel, Cub Sport, Peking Duk, The Jungle Giants, The Amity Affliction, Julia Stone, Kwame, Sycco, Jesswar and The Grates’ Patience Hodgson.

They’ll join previously announced acts Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, Genesis Owusu, Hiatus Kaiyote, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Ziggy Ramo, The Chats, Eves Karydas, Miiesha, You Am I, Birdz, Lime Cordiale and Fanny Lumsden throughout the 10-episode season, hosted again by Dylan Alcott and Linda Marigliano.

Now heading into its third season, The Set originally premiered as part of ABC's Ausmusic Month back in 2018.

The fate of the show was unclear in early 2020 with ABC's Director of Entertainment Michael Carrington revealing that they were "really struggling to get the budget together to create more", with the broadcaster then confirming the show's return in November.

The Set season three will kick off at 8pm on this Saturday, April 24, with Missy Higgins and Birdz and will run through to Saturday 26 June.
