Second & Final Dates Added To Hans Zimmer's 2025 Australian Tour

Demand to see Hans Zimmer on his forthcoming Australian tour has been massive, with tour promoters Frontier Touring announcing second and final shows in Melbourne and Sydney today.

Last week, it was announced that the legendary film composer will make his grand return Down Under after six years.

Heading to Australia with a “groundbreaking audio and visual show,” Zimmer will perform in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane arenas with his incredible 19-piece live band and a full orchestra.

Zimmer’s tour begins at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday, 24 April. With the additional tour dates announced, he’ll perform for two back-to-back nights at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday, 26 April, and Sunday, 27 April (new show), and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday, 29 April, and Wednesday, 30 April (new show).

Yesterday, the pre-sale went live, and the extraordinary demand led to the need for extra shows. General tickets for all shows will be available today at 12 pm local time via the Frontier Touring website.

According to a press release, Zimmer’s upcoming tour promises “newly arranged concert suites.” The composer will bring iconic scores from cinema’s biggest, most beloved films to stages along the East Coast.

For this tour, fans will get to watch awe-inspiring renditions of scores from Gladiator, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, The Lion King, The Last Samurai and Dune. Later this year, fans will get to hear a new score from Zimmer upon the release of the new film, F1, starring Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem.

Australia’s own Lisa Gerrard will perform a selection of songs she co-wrote with Zimmer on this tour, such as Mission: Impossible, Black Hawk Down, and Gladiator, the latter of which won her a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination.

“I’m thrilled to return to Australia with my wonderful band and excited to share this phenomenal show,” Zimmer said last week. “I love this feeling of uniting my family of extraordinary musicians with you, the audience. Just an unbelievable family of talents that – to me – makes them the best supergroup of musicians in the world.”

He added, “But nothing would have meaning without the good grace and support of you, the other part of the family – the audience. Ultimately, the music connects us all, and I promise you this: we will always play our best, straight from the heart.”
