Sir Mix-A-Lot tells him, "Don’t check any text messages in front of your wife."
In perhaps the coolest case of mistaken identity we've come across, news has surfaced of a Seattle man named Jonathan Nichols who currently uses Sir Mix-A-Lot's old phone number — yes, the legendary rapper of Baby Got Back.
As reported by The Seattle Times, Nichols was given the number randomly by Verizon when he enrolled at Seattle University and was looking for a new job.
Soon enough, Nichols was receiving links to YouTube videos from aspiring musicians, phone calls from Ferrari and Lamborghini for a "Mr Anthony Ray" to test drive their cars (he told them, "I'd love to, but I think you have the wrong guy. I'm a broke law student"), backstage passes to shows… and raunchy pictures from countless women.
Having received a record amount of bikini photos, saucy "happy birthday" messages and a reference to the all-too-familiar Baby Got Back one day, Nichols Googled Anthony Ray and found that the name belonged to none other than fellow Seattleite Sir Mix-A-Lot.

When The Seattle Times told Sir Mix-A-Lot about Nichols' situation — "Are you serious? … That is hilarious. Poor fella" — he offered some very Sir Mix-A-Lot-ean advice.
"Don’t check any text messages in front of your wife … That would be the first thing. And don’t answer any texts by saying ‘Yes,’ because people take ‘Yes’ differently with me. And usually you end up opening your wallet.
"Tell him any really sexy pictures — little in the middle, and if she’s got much back — give them the new number … But not the car dealerships."
Nichols says he's only saved one voice message from a woman in New Jersey: "This used to be Sir Mix-A-Lot. You get someone calling you talking about they be Snoop Dogg, they really are. Lucky you."
