This year’s edition of Rolling Loud Australia has been cancelled.
Rolling Loud issued a statement about the cancellation, alleging that local promoters Primuse Entertainment “failed to meet critical payment deadlines and related obligations.”
“We’re really disappointed to announce that Rolling Loud Australia 2026 in Sydney and Melbourne will not move forward,” the statement reads.
The festival organisers added that, due to the alleged reasons above, “ongoing delays” left them without “necessary guarantees” for the event, scheduled to take place next weekend.
“We will not compromise the safety or experience of our fans, artists, and vendors,” the statement continued.
It concluded, “All ticket purchasers will be entitled to a refund. Further details will be provided by the event organizer and/or official ticketing partners. This one hurts.”
Update 28/02/2026: Primuse Entertainment have responded to Rolling Loud’s statement, saying that the company “does not accept certain aspects” of the festival’s “characterisation” of its local promoters.
“We are extremely disappointed by the cancellation of Rolling Loud Australia 2026,” Primeuse Australia & NZ’s response reads.

The statement continues, “Primuse Entertainment does not accept certain aspects of the characterisation set out in Rolling Loud's statement. While there are differing views regarding the circumstances that led to this outcome, we stand firmly by the manner in which we have conducted ourselves throughout this process.”
Primuse added that the company “acted in good faith” and made “reasonable efforts” to successfully deliver the return of Rolling Loud 2026.
“Primuse acted in good faith throughout and made reasonable efforts to deliver a successful event for fans, artists, and partners, with the intention of ensuring the festival could proceed as planned.” they wrote.
“Our immediate focus is on supporting ticket holders and working closely with the relevant parties to ensure refunds are processed as efficiently as possible. We remain committed to the Australian live entertainment market and to delivering high-quality experiences for audiences in the future.
“Given the circumstances, we will not be making any further public comment at this time.”
Following news reports of the festival’s cancellation, Primuse Entertainment said, “We are aware of media reports regarding Rolling Loud Australia.
“As the local promoter, we are currently in discussions with Rolling Loud and will provide an official update as soon as possible. We ask fans to wait for confirmed information, which will be communicated directly via our official channels.”
Earlier today, staffing from the event—including Australian independent event management operators, Gojo Events—received an email today (27 February) informing them that the event will no longer be going ahead, which leaked online.
The said email has appeared on social media platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter), TikTok and Reddit, and has been seen by The Music.
“Hi there,
“We regret to advise that Rolling Loud Sydney and Melbourne have been cancelled,” the email reads.
It continues, “Due to circumstances outside of our control, Rolling Loud scheduled for Saturday 7 March in Sydney and Sunday 8 March in Melbourne will no longer be going ahead.
“We sincerely appreciate you making yourself available for these events, and we apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause. We understand that many of you may have arranged your schedules around these dates, and we're very grateful for your flexibility and support.”
A pre-Rolling Loud event featuring festival performers Tyga and Quavo at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel, scheduled for tomorrow (28 February), also won’t be going ahead.
In a notice posted on the venue’s website, it was confirmed that Rolling Loud has indeed been cancelled.
“This Saturday’s concert will not be proceeding due to the cancellation of Rolling Loud Australia,” the notice reads. “The promoters will be in touch early next week with an update on the show and refund procedure.”
Rolling Loud was scheduled to return to Australia for the first time since 2019 next weekend. Festival organisers had booked in headliners Gunna and Ken Carson, plus global heavy hitters including Sexyy Red, Tyga, Swae Lee, Quavo, and festival mainstays such as Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil TJay, Robb Bank$, rising stars Ian, Osamason, Rich Amiri and many more.
Local talent was also represented on the line-up. A dedicated stage would have spotlighted artists from Australia and New Zealand, including Hooligan Hefs, Youngn Lipz, Day1, Amarni, Lil Golo & Cult Shotta, 4ourttune, Jonny Chopps and others.
Rolling Loud made its Australian debut in January 2019, featuring Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Tyga, Smokepurpp, and local favourite Manu Crook$.
The long-awaited follow-up was scheduled for 2024 and was to expand from Sydney, with a second event planned in Melbourne. However, the second edition of the festival didn’t take place and was indefinitely postponed.
Last, excitement was generated when organisers promised the festival would be back in Australia “sooner than you think.”
