More Richie Sambora More Richie Sambora

Richie Sambora has announced two headline dates to coincide with his upcoming Soundwave appearance, with Brisbane and Sydney the lucky cities.

Famous as a founding member of Bon Jovi, Sambora has helped write some of the biggest rock songs of all time but, somewhat controversially, recently left the band.

Speaking to theMusic.com.au he said, “I know [leaving Bon Jovi] wasn't a popular decision that I made, but… 30 years is a good run. It's almost unheard of.

“I had to make a pretty unpopular decision, but I had a chance to go to my kid's parent teacher night, her sweet 16 birthday party, I got to go and watch her cheerlead – honestly, that bond needed to be done. I missed it.”
