Brothers behind The Hills Are Alive join UNIFIED
Artists managers and festival promoters Aidan and Rhett McLaren have joined the UNIFIED group, bringing rapper Remi across to the management roster.
As well as managing the young rapper – who won the J Award for Unearthed Artist Of The Year in 2013 – the Victorian based-brothers are also behind The Hills Are Alive, a South Gippsland invite-only festival, and its open-invite New Years spin-off.
They've brought Remi into a management roster that also includes success stories Vance Joy, Illy, Violent Soho, The Amity Affliction and Northlane.
Today UNIFIED's Director Jaddan Comerford, who is now based in New York to guide Vance Joy's entrance into that market, confirmed to theMusic.com.au that the McLaren brothers are now part of UNIFIED's management team, alongside the likes of Comerford, Luke Logemann and Nick Yates.

“We have a growing roster and a growing team who share resources, systems and knowledge internally,” he said.
“They both are working from our head office in Melbourne and will be interacting with the team through various meetings and just generally being in the office.”
The Hills Are Alive festival will remain outside UNIFIED's operations, but Comerford is hoping to move further into events in the future.
“Hills is Aidan's and Rhett's. We have no involvement apart from just being fans and a number of the team attended over the weekend.
“However, I'd be lying if I said we haven't discussed some cool event ideas that we can collaborate together on in the future.”
UNIFIED band Northlane are already exploring new events with their upcoming Free Your Mind mini-festival kicking off in May.
Aiden and Rhett are being encouraged to pick up new clients moving forward, “However, the number one focus right now for them is Remi, who is also a big focus for UNIFIED overall,” Commerford said.
Remi is set to release his debut album Raw x Infinity Friday 6 June through his own label House Of Beige, with distribution by UNIFIED. He released the video for Livin earlier this week.
