The renowned '90s faves are bringing their two-year absence to a close at this year's First Coat event
"Indefinite" no longer — Regurgitator's hiatus officially has a time stamp, and it reads "2013-2015", after the famed '90s favourites announced at the weekend that they would be returning to active duty as headliners for the forthcoming First Coat Street Art & Music Festival in Toowoomba this May.
As part of the festivities, which feature more than 30 of the world's premier street artists (including The Amity Affliction's Joel Birch) for three days from Saturday, 16 May, to Monday, 18 May, Regurgitator will lead the live-music charge, accompanied by ascendant hip hopper L-FRESH The LION and further guests to be announced.
This year marks First Coat's second-ever iteration, after a successful debut in 2014, when more than 30 murals appeared throughout Toowoomba's CBD during the event.
"First Coat is the culmination of south-east Queensland's amazing cultural community," festival organiser Grace Dewar said in a statement. "The collaborative ethos here is strong, so when we were approached by the local council for an initiative to combat illegal graffiti, we had all the support and networks to deliver."

With respect to bolstering the event's offerings for 2015, Dewar says: "We've programmed three days of First Coast side events for festival-goers, from exhibition openings ...[to] a two-full-day live-music program."
"It's exciting times for contemporary culture in the public realm, and we're very lucky to have the support of our local council and service providers in freeing up conservative restrictions to allow something like First Coat 2015 to really happen," she said.
