Organisers of a Melbourne after-party billed to be hosted by Drake are now considering legal action after the Canadian artist reportedly snubbed fans.

According to Herald Sun, despite being contracted to host the ticketed event for 60-90 minutes at Crown's Therapy nightclub on Sunday after his Rod Laver Arena show, the rapper appeared for just 90 seconds and reportedly spent most of the night in a VIP section.

While fans, who paid up to $105 for tickets to the after-party, are demanding refunds, it has been reported that organisers are now in discussions with lawyers as to how to proceed.

"Drake did not deliver what was stipulated in his contract," spokesman for entertainment company, Bearzerk, said.

"He turned up at the venue but did not host the after-party or engage with people.

"The engagement contract stipulates Drake would make an after-party appearance, including hosting of 60 to 90 minutes. This was not delivered."

One punter, Eva Cornelisse, called the event "an absolute scam".

"There was no communication from anyone on stage as to when Drake would be there or what was going on," Cornelisse said.

"Drake just stood on the balcony for all of two minutes. He didn’t even say a word; we were absolutely gutted. We should all be receiving an apology and a refund."

Drake is yet to publicly comment on the matter.
