More Jaguar Jonze More Jaguar Jonze

One year ago this November, Queensland's oldest-standing theatre transformed into a dazzling hub for live music and performing arts. To celebrate its first birthday, The Princess Theatre is throwing a massive party on the 4th of November with some of Queensland's most beloved acts, to say thanks for such a cracking first year.

Since opening almost a year ago, the 920 capacity Princess Theatre has hosted over 100 events, including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Amyl & The Sniffers, Archie Roach, Spiderbait, Meg Mac, Baker Boy, Matt Corby, as well as a spectacular array of circus acts, theatre, cabaret, drag performance, speakers, comedy and more.

To soundtrack this special night, The Princess Theatre has decided to source locally with the stunning auditorium set to host indie-rockers Peach Fur, and the immensely creative Jaguar Jonze, followed up with a headline performance from BUGS to top off the celebrations. Amidst the live mix, DJ community collective QUIVR will be hitting the decks and taking over the venue's expansive courtyard. All friends of The Princess Theatre or its sister venue The Tivoli, these bands and artists across the line-up will be sure to provide a memorable night for all local music lovers to help celebrate the expansion of the Meanjin/Brisbane live music scene.

In addition to the previously mentioned artists, there will be two additional acts added to the bill at a later date, so keep your eyes peeled!

Coinciding with the birthday party, the Princess Theatre will also launch its official merchandise for purchase on the night, designed by local artists and Princess bartender Shani Finch. Alongside the merch, the new Princess Theatre's Pale Ale, made in collaboration with Brisbane brewers Green Beacon, will be flowing to keep the night going.
