PREMIERE: Appleonia With The Vines' Craig Nicholls – She Is The Sun

Appleonia is the name that up-and-coming singer and songwriter Jessica Chapnik Kahn performs under and today we premiere the clip for She Is The Sun, taken from the artist's debut record Despite The Gods.

The song was initially intended to be an instrumental piece written for the score to the Jennifer Lynch film, also called Despite The Gods, but didn't make the cut. Somehow Chapnik Kahn and co-writer Nadav Kahn stumbled across it and made it into something far more realised and beautiful, adding lyrics and a melody line.

They also stumbled across a special guest to help realise the song's full potential, that being The Vines' frontman Craig Nicholls (who has been in the headlines of late for not so pleasant reasons). Together they appear in the film clip for this beautiful song; it's the first we've seen and/or heard from Craig in quite some time.

The single is out now, look out for Appleonia's debut album to be released in 2013.
