The next lot of names from the AMID Power 50 announced.

After announcing the first five names earlier today, we're excited to release the another five names as SPA and theMusic present the AMID Power 50 - a list of the top 50 most powerful people in the Australian music industry.

In the lead-up to the release of the 48th Australasian Music Industry Directory [AMID] Tuesday 3 July, we're releasing five names on theMusic.com.au and five names through our newsletter Your Daily SPA every day. We're not telling you where in the top 50 they ranked, but in each list of five there is one person who has made the top ten of the annual list.

Without further ado, here's another five:

Michael Coppel – Live Nation Australasia – CEO and President
A name synonymous with the touring industry both locally and internationally is Michael Coppel. After his business merged with global music giant Live Nation Entertainment earlier this year Coppel took control of the business' activities in Australia and New Zealand. They're hoping he can repeat feats like Pink's unprecedented 58-date arena 'Funhouse' tour back in 2010.

Simon Joyce – MCM Entertainment Group – CEO and Managing Director
It has been a big year for MCM Entertainment Group CEO Simon Joyce. With the announcement of potentially huge partnerships with both ARIA and VEVO, MCM are entering the digital music industry in a big way. His management of these developing digital platforms across MCM's entities will play a big part in the way popular music is consumed in Australia.

Brad Mellen – Mellen Events – Managing Director
Through his company Mellen Events, Brad Mellen has brought some of the world's best music acts and festivals to Perth. Sometimes forgotten (or unattainable) for tours and events on the west coast, Mellen continues to put one of the world's most remote cities on the music map and holds even more sway in the industry when Perth is being its own little world.

Richard Moffat – Way Over There Music – Booker/Programmer
Ever an advocate of Australian music, Richard Moffat has been responsible for booking many emerging acts into festivals like Falls, Southbound, Groovin The Moo and the St Kilda Festival. Way Over There Music also represents some of Melbourne's top venues including The Corner and the Northcote Social Club. That's a lot of influence over a lot of events.

John Watson – John Watson Management – President
John Watson has a habit of putting artists exactly where they need to be. Ask Missy Higgins, who recently enjoyed her third number one album, despite a long period out of the public eye. He was also instrumental in the comeback of Aussie icons Cold Chisel and helped guide the rise of Gotye (he co-manages both). As President of Eleven: A Music Company, Watson has also shaped the careers of Silverchair, Birds Of Tokyo and Paul Mac.
