More Polaris More Polaris

Sydney metalcore band Polaris have already been on a hefty and steady incline this year, playing the beloved metal festival Knotfest and nabbing a NRL Fox League advertisement opportunity all in the first three months of 2025. Now, they’re taking things international, announcing a coveted support slot for American heavy metal band Slipknot across Europe this coming June.

Vowing that Knotfest was “the biggest thing we’ve done in Australia to date”, and potentially the only time the band will play in Australia this year, plans for tour have just gotten bigger, with the band sharing the stage with Slipknot once more on three stops this European summer: Hannover, Frankfurt and Berlin. And they won’t be alone. Polaris will be sharing the stage with American heavy metal outfit Motionless In White and English punk rock duo Soft Play

Elsewhere on Polaris’ hectic international touring schedule, the band will be opening for American metalcore/pop-punk band A Day To Remember in Zurich, Budapest and Ljubljana on the 3rd, 16th and 17th of June. In between it all, they’ll be fitting in stage time at major festivals across Europe and the UK including appearances at Poland’s Mystic Festival, Germany’s Rock Im Park and Impericon Festival and the UK’s Download 2025.

Throughout 2024, the band spent the year touring their acclaimed third studio album Fatalism in Australia and abroad, before closing out tour in Mexico for a first-ever performance supporting British rock band Bring Me The Horizon. Talking to The Music about that experience, Polaris frontman Jamie Hails said:

“It was definitely the biggest crowd we have ever played in front of, the biggest stage we’ve ever played on,”

“To support such a monumental band like Bring Me The Horizon… Oli [Sykes] has been an idol of mine since day one of discovering Bring Me as a teenager, years and years ago. It was incredible. To have the opportunity to play in front of so many people for our first time in a country that doesn’t always get that many tours as well, we knew it was going to be something special.”

With 9 months still remaining of 2025, we hold no doubts that this year will be a milestone-setting period for Polaris.
