On the day that tickets to Pearl Jam’s upcoming Australian tour went on sale (today), tour promoters Live Nation have added additional shows in Melbourne and Sydney to meet phenomenal demand.
Pearl Jam will now play two nights at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium – Saturday, 16 November, and the second show on Monday, 18 November, and Sydney’s Giants Stadium - the first show on Thursday, 21 November, and the second on Saturday, 23 November. They’ll be joined by special guests Pixies.
In good news for fans who were already purchasing tickets today, if you received a code from Ticketmaster yesterday, that code will be eligible to buy tickets for the additional show.
To buy tickets today, punters either had to sign up for access via the band’s website or Ticketmaster for their names to be in the running. Fans had to be already-existing Pearl Jam’s Ten Club members if signing up for tickets via their website.
If you didn’t receive a code from Ticketmaster yesterday, you will be notified if you end up on the Waitlist for when more tickets are available.
There’s another way to score tickets, too, with Triple M offering fans a chance to win tickets to the band’s concert at Giants Stadium on Thursday, 21 November. Find more details about the competition here.

Pearl Jam’s forthcoming Australian tour has been a long time coming, not only because of the ten-year wait since their last appearance down under – at Big Day Out 2014 – but also because they began teasing their imminent return at Christmas time.
The band recently kickstarted the Australian tour rumours again when Live Nation took over Bondi Beach with a world-first installation promoting their new music and the forthcoming tour.
Pearl Jam will release their new album, Dark Matter, on Friday, 19 April – pre-order/pre-save the LP here.
Singer Eddie Vedder has already described the album as the band’s “best work”.
In a press release, he stated: “I’m getting chills because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful, and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole; I think this is our best work.”
