Paul Dempsey, singer of Something For Kate and beloved solo artist, has added another date to this year’s touring plans across the country. Best of all, it’s free.

On Tuesday, 21 October, Dempsey will premiere songs from his forthcoming, highly anticipated sequel album, Shotgun Karaoke Vol. II, set for release on Friday, 24 October.

Titled Paul Dempsey’s Karaoke Time Machine, the performer will head to the Bob Hawke Beer & Leisure Centre in Marrickville for a special show presented by the venue, The Betoota Advocate, and EMI Music Australia.

Promising a night of music and good leisure, with the songs performed journeying across decades, tickets to the intimate show will be free and accessible only through an exclusive online ballot. You can head here to find more details on how to win tickets.

Offering a taste of what’s to come, Dempsey has followed up his recent cover of Cher’s If I Could Turn Back Time with a fresh rendition of Don Henley’s classic tune, Boys Of Summer, which you can check out below.

In October and November, Dempsey will embark on his already-announced Shotgun Karaoke Vol. II national tour. Today, he’s revealed that award-winning West Australian singer-songwriter Carla Geneve—who he covers on the album—will open all dates on the tour, aside from the Sydney Opera House show.
