Paul Dempsey (known to most as the frontman of Something for Kate) has announced a nine-date tour of the east coast, playing a number of regional centres in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria throughout January and February.

Dempsey will also join Australian musicians Bernard Fanning and Sarah Blasko at the Sydney Opera House on January 29 as part of the highly anticipated Celebrating David Bowie concert series. Key David Bowie band members, friends and collaborators including Mike Garson, Earl Slick, Adrian Belew, Gail Ann Dorsey will perform the late artist's music, likely for the last time together.

Dempsey released his first solo album, Everything Is True in 2009 and followed it up with an album of acoustic covers, Shotgun Karaoke in 2013. Earlier this year he released Strange Loop, an 11-track album that has received critical acclaim.
